Winter-Spring Preschool Storytime Begins

Winter-Spring Preschool Storytime Begins

Laying the groundwork for school success begins with reading out loud to your child. JDL believes in early literacy and provides various ways to be a parent’s best resource tool for childhood literacy. Beginning in January 7 JDL locations will provide preschool storytime for parents or caregivers and their toddlers. A complete schedule for all locations can be found here or by calling 517-788-4087 x1331.

There are also early literacy opportunities for babies, toddlers, families with children up to 5 years of age:  Time for Twos and Library Babies at Carnegie Library, Tiny Tots at Spring Arbor, Baby/Toddler Storytime and Family Storytime at Brooklyn, and AMOS and Sign Language 4 Kids at our Summit Branch. You can find the dates, times and ages here.

Please consult the librarians at JDL for help in selecting age appropriate material to read aloud to your child. They would be happy to assist you. A JDL library card is FREE to all Jackson County residents with proof of residency. You may apply for your library card online at www.myjdl.com. Children who are in school may apply for their own library card. For more information about a JDL library card please contact, Sue McGee, Jackson District Library’s Circulation Coordinator, 517-788-4087 x1345.
