Materpiece Theatre is showing movie adaptions of all six of Jane Austen's novels, starting in January of 2008. Two of these are familiar - the enormously popular 6 hour miniseries of "Pride and Prejudice" that made Colin Firth an international sex symbol, and the Kate Beckinsale version of "Emma." 4 brand new productions-Persuasion, Sense & Sensibility, Northanger Abbey and Mansfield Park will also be broadcast. Check PBS.org or WKAR.org. What a great way to start the year. By the way, the Jane Austen series will last four months!
