I am reading A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickins for my last book report. Only like 300 more pages and I will be able to read anything I want to read until September!

What I'm Reading...

I'm currently reading textbooks! Ugh! haha...

For pleasure I'm listening to an MP3 Audiobook, I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have to Kill You by Ally Carter. It's a YA book & can be found @ JDL! I like to read YA's every once in awhile...

I just finished Forever in Blue by Ann Brashares. I'm reading the Twilight series (by Stephenie Meyer) right now. I'm also planning to read A Great and Terrible Beauty Libba Bray. I may reread the Uglies trilogy (Scott Westerfeld) if I get bored.

Latest reads

I just finished The Dream-Hunter by Sherrilyn Kenyon and am now reading Devil May Cry by the same author.  I absolutely LOVE her Dark-Hunter series!!!!!!

I finished Devil May Cry last night

Now I'll be starting in my stack of interlibrary loan books I just got!  I think I'll be reading Silver's Bane by Anne Kelleher next.  I won't get to start it until the kids go to sleep tonight though.

Just finished Demons Are Forever

by Julie Kenner.  I LOVE this series, but if you haven't started reading it, you may want to hold off on starting for a while.  Right now, there are 3 books in the series with books 2 and 3 having major, major cliffhanging endings.  Good for Julie Kenner and her royalty checks, bad for the reader that is reading these books as they are coming out.  I have no idea how I'm going to survive until "Summer 2008" when the next book is supposed to come out!  I want to know NOW what happens next, but I'm just SOL.  *sigh*

Rebel Fay

by Barb and J.C. Hendee.  I'm not sure why I'm still reading this series (The Noble Dead).  I'm not really all that excited about it.  I guess I just don't like to leave stories unfinished.

Don't Talk Back to Your Vampire

by Michele Bardsley.  I love paranormal fiction with kick-butt moms as the main character, so I think I'm going to like this one, even though I'm only on the third chapter.

I just finished Rebel Fay earlier this evening.  It was kind of like a warm beverage on a hot summer's day.  It wasn't very satisfying but I guess it filled its purpose.

Great Books for Babies and Toddlers

by Kathleen Odean.  It isn't something I'm thoroughly reading, rather skimming, looking for books for my little ones.  I'm then looking up any that look interesting on PaperBackSwap.com to see if they are available.  If they are, I'm putting them on my reminder list for now (until I get a credit available to order them) so I can build up my children's personal library.  If they aren't available right now, I may see about checking them out from the library though.

To Say Nothing of the Dog

or How We Found the Bishop's Bird Stump At Last by Connie Willis.  I'm still looking through Great Books for Babies and Toddlers as well, but now I'm straight up pleasure reading too.

I just finished The Royal Mess

by Mary Janice Davidson.  Much better than the second book in the trilogy; right up there with the first.

The Jungle

I'm currently reading The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair. It is a great book about the hard life that a family of Lithuanian immigrants faces in the stockyards of Chicago. It really makes you feel for the family and there are some horrifying things about life back then that would make you shudder. It is really worth your time to read it.

Harry Potter

I finisheeed the seventh Harry Potter book last summer and then started to read them all, 1 through 7! Right now, I'm just starting into the sixth book for what will be the fourth time I've read it.

Isle of Swords

By Wayne Thomas Baston

Its a great book! I haven't finished it yet but I am loving it! Its like a Pirates of the Carribean. It seems to be a great read so far.

Silver's Lure

by Anne Kelleher.  It is just barely interesting enough to keep reading.  The main reason I think I'm still reading it is that it is the prequel to a couple other books I've read and at this point, I don't see how the events going on now translate to what happened in the other books so I'm sticking around to see how the dots connect.  It kind of stinks though, since there are other books I have out right now that I REALLY want to read, but I started this one first so (by my rules for reading) I have to finish this before I can start another novel.

BOoks

I just finished, Forget About It by Caprice Crane! Great fun, light & quick read! Crane's other novel, Stupid & Contagious is also a great read! I'm now back to a YA book, Private by Kate Brian. I just started it! Awesome person so I'm sure her books are too!!  http://www.myspace.com/katebrian

After Dachau

by Daniel Quinn

Pat McIntosh

I'm reading The Merchant's Mark, the 3rd in the Gil Cunningham mystery series which takes place in the 1400's in Glasgow, Scotland.  It is a relatively new series by Pat McIntosh.

The Second Objective

Diana Hill

Good WWII story.  Hitler"s last gasp to win the war with a devious plan.  Interesting characters both good and very evil.  Men would probably really like this book.  I liked  it, but got bogged down at times with all the war stuff.

Harry Potter

This is a great series, very exciting and an easy read.  JK keeps you on the edge of your seat and wishing you were reading instead of working!

Joe Grey Mysteries

I have been reading the Joe Greay Mystery series by Shirley Rousseau Murphy
If you love cats and mysteries (along with some  scifi type) you'll love these. But i recommend you start with the first book and read in sequence . Follow Joe from when he first settles into his new home to his last adventure with his best gal Dulcie and adopted kit. Tales of the underworld of Cats and crime busted combined

Temeraire series

The fourth book in this set is as good as the others!  If you enjoy historical fiction or science fiction, you will love Naomi Novik's Napoleonic dragons.  She has already won numerous awards for these!  Try one!
